Webinar: Introducing BORNConnect and the Digital Ontario Perinatal Record+

BORN Ontario is launching a new initiative to design and implement the Digital Ontario Perinatal Record+ (dOPR+), a modernized approach to pregnancy and immediate postpartum documentation that will support more connected, coordinated, and person-centred care across Ontario.

The dOPR+ will transform traditional record-keeping into interoperable digital workflows that enable timely information sharing, reduce administrative burden for care providers, and support the adoption of leading practices throughout the pregnancy and early life journey.

As a cornerstone of BORNConnect, BORN Ontario’s broader strategic program for advancing connected care, the dOPR+ will build on BORN’s unique prescribed registry status and robust data infrastructure to deliver more personalized, equitable, and outcomes-focused information to individuals, clinicians, and the communities that support them.

To introduce this important initiative, BORN is hosting a webinar on July 15, 2026 that will provide an overview of the vision for BORNConnect and the dOPR+, highlight the opportunities these innovations present for patients and providers, and outline how a collaborative co-design approach will help shape a solution that is practical, interoperable, sustainable, safe, and secure.

Participants will learn how BORNConnect will integrate clinical, registry, and guideline-based information to improve care coordination and outcomes across pregnancy and early life, while also exploring opportunities to contribute to the co-design and implementation of the initiative.

This webinar is intended for healthcare providers, health system partners, and others interested in the future of connected perinatal care in Ontario.
