This guide for logging into the BORN Information System (BIS) is for sonographers who are registered with the NT Quality Assurance (NTQA) Program and have previously accessed the BIS.
To access the BORN Information System (BIS), Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is required. MFA is a security enhancement that asks you to present two pieces of evidence (your credentials) to access the system. In your case, your credentials include: your username/password and PHONE (to receive a onetime-use code).
Step 2: Enter your username and password and click SIGN IN
BORN has extended its password expiry duration to one year. This change means that you will be prompted to reset your password on an annual basis, instead of every 90 days.
Step 3: Enter your cell or a landline number (cannot have an extension) and click SEND CODE (code will be sent to your phone) or CALL ME (the automated system will call you with the code)
- The codes are a one-time use.
- The default country code is set to Canada.
- Select BACK if you want to return to the previous screen.
Step 4: Once you receive the code on your phone, enter it in the box.
- If you make a mistake and need a new code, click: send a new code.
- If you choose to receive a phone call, once you accept the phone call (press #) you will automatically be logged in.
Woo-hoo! You're now logged into the BIS!
Trouble logging in?
If you have previously logged in to your BIS account, and you are having trouble logging back in, this could be because:
1. You have forgotten your password or your password expired
2. You do not have security questions, or you cannot recall the answers to your security questions.
