Fetal RHD Screen Negative
What the result means
A "Negative" Fetal RHD screening result means that your baby is predicted to be RhD negative, the same as you. This means that there is no RhD mismatch (incompatibility) between you and your baby.
Next steps
RhIG treatment is not needed during pregnancy or after delivery. You can continue with routine prenatal care.
At delivery
A small blood sample will be collected from the umbilical cord to confirm your baby’s RhD status. The results may be used to guide your need for RhIG treatment after birth and may be shared with the testing laboratory for quality checks.
